In the title track, he combines the spirit of contemporary jazz with the classics of the "Kind of Blue" period. In the quite lively "Mr Prospero" he plays as singingly as if he traversed the vocal line on the piano, and in "Above the Clouds" pride leisurely in a free-jazz spirit.

Listening to this album, I had compelling associations with Chick Corea's cycle "Children's Song". "Both me and Corea draw inspiration from the music of Bela Bartok" - explained the pianist.
