Artur Dutkiewicz Polish jazz pianist and composer. 

Born in Pinczów, Poland in 1958.

He graduated from The Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland and received diploma with distinction.

Dutkiewicz was a finalist of the Thelonious Monk Competition in Washington, USA.

He was the first Polish musician who played a solo recital at MIDEM in Cannes.

Artur Dutkiewicz is called the "Ambassador of Polish jazz" /Jazz Forum Magazine 12.2102/ –

he is one of the most concerting abroad Polish jazz musicians. During his career he performed in more than

60 countries around the world from the United States via Europe, Africa, China to Australia.

He is a leader of the ARTUR DUTKIEWICZ TRIO playing modern jazz. He also plays SOLO

RECITALS. His last albums: "Mazurki"/solo/, „Prana”, „Traveller” /trio/ have been enthusiastically

received by audiences and critics.

In 2011 Arthur Dutkiewicz performed at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin during the World Culture

Festival. Especially for this event he arranged and played a piece for 30 pianos with pianists from

around the world. He also performed with world-renowned pianist Cyprien Katsaris. The concert,

attended by 35 thousand people, was an expression of respect for the diversity of cultures and the

message of peace to the world.

He also performed as a pianist and an actor (muzitor) in the contemporary 

Instrumental Theather led by Ryszard Gwalbert Misiek /Gdynia, Poland/
